Job Summary:
Secur0d Solutions is seeking a certified and experienced Firearms Instructor to deliver high-quality firearms training to security personnel in compliance with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) standards. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, skilled marksman, and passionate educator who ensures every trainee is prepared, safe, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct Class “G” Statewide Firearm License training courses in accordance with Florida law (Chapter 493, F.S.)

• Deliver classroom instruction and live-fire range training, ensuring safety at all times

• Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback

• Maintain accurate training records, sign-offs, and documentation for licensing purposes

• Conduct firearm qualification and requalification sessions

• Ensure proper use, handling, maintenance, and storage of all firearms used in training

• Stay up-to-date with legal and procedural changes related to armed security operations in Florida

• Assist in the development of training curriculum and materials as needed

• Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and responsibility

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Certified Firearms Instructor under FDACS or through an approved law enforcement or military program

• Valid Florida Class D and Class G licenses

• Prior experience teaching armed security officers, military personnel, or law enforcement preferred

• Strong knowledge of Florida statutes and licensing requirements for armed security

• Excellent communication, public speaking, and coaching skills

• Ability to maintain composure and authority in high-stress or emergency training scenarios

• Clean background check and drug screening

• High school diploma or GED (additional education in criminal justice or related field is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor certification

• Experience developing custom training programs

• CPR/First Aid certified

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

• College education
